The slender, 12 inch long leaves of Dinosaur are heavily textured and almost look bubbled. They can be harvested continually throughout the season but the leaves are the sweetest in the fall and even tastier after a frost. The dark blue-green almost black leaves have an earthy nutty texture and are so hearty that they retain their firm texture even when cooked. Harvest the from the bottom of the plant and work up towards the center leaving at least 4 leaves at the crown allowing the plant to continue producing. It’s a great combination of flavor and beauty with high nutritional value and health benefits.
