The fragrant, arching clusters of Butterfly Bush are irresistible to hummingbirds and butterflies. Really a shrub, plants are best treated like perennials and pruned back hard each spring, to maintain a compact, bushy habit. This compact selection has wands of violet-blue flowers, over a mound of silvery-green leaves. Excellent for cutting. Removing faded flower heads will encourage plants to continue blooming. Drought and heat tolerant, once established. Plants are more to scale with smaller gardens than many of the taller forms.
